In conjunction with Alison Elizabeth Taylor's exhibition of wood inlays, paintings and drawings, James Cohan Gallery is pleased to invite you to an evening of music and reading.

Mary Gaitskill is the author of the novel Two Girls, Fat and Thin, as well as the story collections Bad Behavior and Because They Wanted To. Her story, "Secretary" was the basis for the feature film of the same name. She will be reading from her recent novel Veronica, a National Book Awards Finalist and National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist, published by Vintage Books.

A.M. Homes is the author of seven works of fiction including The End of Alice, Things You Should Know, The Safety of Objects and the forthcoming memoir, The Mistress�s Daughter. She will be reading from her most recent novel, This Book Will Save Your Life.

Dutchess, a geographically diverse band with members hailing from the Netherlands, England and the United States, features ribald guitars that weave through tight rhythms and an emphatic lead singer who sets the tone for this charged rock ensemble.
